How I Stop Sweating the Small Stuff and Reconnect With Myself

Do you ever feel like you’re so caught up in the little details of your day that you completely lose sight of the bigger picture?

It happens to me too—especially when things get busy in my studio, and I’m juggling designs, supplies, and a head full of to-dos. In moments like that, I’ve learned to pause. To centre myself.

And honestly, this has become one of the most powerful tools in both my personal life and creative process.

Losing Sight of the Big Picture

We often go through our days on autopilot—worrying about minor hiccups or tasks that, in the grand scheme, don’t really matter. When I notice that tension creeping in, I know it’s time to return to stillness. To centre myself.

That phrase can sound a bit mystical, but for me, it simply means finding my way back to calm—a grounded state where I can see clearly again, feel more at peace, and let go of the unnecessary stress.

My Simple Practice for Re-Centring

So how do I do it?

Sometimes, it starts with a few slow, deep breaths.

Other times, I reach for my headphones and play one of the top three videos that appear in my YouTube feed. I’ve spent the past ten months curating it with intention:
Malte Marten’s beautiful handpan music, uplifting motivational speakers, and soothing meditations around manifestation and abundance.

And somehow, the videos that show up are always just what I need—whether it’s a topic I’m revisiting or something totally unexpected. I listen anyway, and I grow.

Letting Life Flow

We often go through our days on autopilot—worrying about minor hiccups or tasks that, in the grand scheme, don’t really matter. When I notice that tension creeping in, I know it’s time to return to stillness. To centre myself.

That phrase can sound a bit mystical, but for me, it simply means finding my way back to calm—a grounded state where I can see clearly again, feel more at peace, and let go of the unnecessary stress.

Finding Your Own Path Back to Balance

If that familiar feeling of tension, fear, or overwhelm creeps up on you this week, I encourage you to pause.

Take a breath.
Play a piece of music that soothes you.
Sit with a meditation.
Take a short walk.
Or start exploring what helps you come back home to yourself.

Experiment until you discover your path to peace.

Jewellery as a Path to Self-Connection

For me, creating handmade Indian jewellery has always been more than just a craft. It’s a spiritual practice. A way to ground myself, honour my Indian heritage, and connect to something deeper.

Whether I’m wire-wrapping stones or beading a one-of-a-kind necklace, I feel most like myself in those moments.

More jewellery is coming soon—I’m just waiting on a specific colour of glass bead to arrive (it’s on its way, promise!). Each piece I create is a part of this journey: sustainable jewellery handmade in the UK, infused with intention, culture, and care.

Your Turn

What helps you reconnect when the world feels overwhelming?
I’d love to hear—drop a comment below or send me a message.

And if jewellery is part of your own grounding ritual, stay tuned. There’s more magic on the way.
